Back to Basics hosts the largest (50+ booths) sustainably-focused vendor fair in the region! Don't miss this opportunity to stock up on locally grown and handmade goodies all while chatting with knowledgeable people and organizations who want to help you live more sustainably. Come shop and learn with us! There will be an abundance of educational materials, services, locally made/grown goods including delicious foods, natural personal care products, handmade home decor, clothing, and more! The vendor fair is free and open to the public all day (8am-5pm) on Saturday, February 15th.  


Vendor/Exhibitor registration is open for our 2020 event! You can register online here or print paper forms and return them by mail.   Additional information can be found in our Vendor Guidelines. Vendor/exhibitors must have their proposal in by Saturday, November 9th to be included in all our event promotion. Proposals will be accepted up until the event, as space allows. Vendors will also need to fill out an ST-19 form, which can be returned to us by email, mail, or at check-in the day of the event.

B&B FarmCo - Goat milk soap & bath/body products -  all made by hand in small batches with natural ingredients. 

BackWood Basics* - Bottom watering planters for growing shoots, herbs, and fodder indoors.

Brainerd Weight Loss and Wellness Center - Teaching people how to eat well and live well through real, whole foods.

Chinese Herbs & Acupuncture* - Information about the basic principles of traditional Chinese medicine and the demonstration of a couple simple modalities for a couple of different common maladies. Private practice in Crosslake offering both group and private acupuncture sessions.  

Energy for Life Connection- Handcrafted herbal remedies from locally-sourced, sustainably-grown, and/or wild-crafted herbs, including dried herbs, tinctures, infused vinegars, topical lotions, salves, oils, and liniments. 

Faith in Action for Cass County* - This nonprofit is a local collaborative effort among faith communities, community agencies, donors, and individuals with gifts of service. FIA provides non-medical neighborly assistance to older adults, adults with disabilities, and others experiencing difficult circumstances. 

Grampa G's* - Family farm selling local fresh produce, plants, canned goods, dehydrated produce & pencil artwork. Information available on deep winter greenhouse construction & growing food in the middle of winter. 

Guiding Spirit Journeys - Offering guide services into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Each trip offered may be a different theme related to nature connectedness. Mindfulness, yoga, journaling, and mind-body-spirit are also aspects of the trips.

HealthSource of Baxter - Promoting a healthy body and relaxed mind to maintain and increase health. Offering free chair massages.

Hemptress Farms, LLC - Direct from Hemp Farm CBD products, tinctures, creams, honey, bath bombs. Information pamphlets will be available on the farm and how CBD works with our bodies. All products are handmade in small batches from an all organic hemp farm. 

L & J Creations - The world's purest CBD oil that is extracted from hemp with only two ingredients in it: hemp seed oil and CBD oil.

Let's Get Stones/Thyme for Angels - Reiki attuned, wire wrapped stone jewelry, loose stones, and gifts to enhance your spiritual journey.

Mann Lake, Ltd.* - Information on hobby beekeeping & a catalog of products. They will also be selling beekeeping and hobby books, bee gift items, honey sticks, & honey candy. 

National Loon Center* - Information about the new National Loon Center coming to Cross Lake - projected to open in 2020!

The Nature Conservancy* - Information about protecting and preserving the Upper Mississippi River Basin through Our Mississippi Our Future. They will have postres, postcards, literature, sign-up sheets, and an interactive map. 

Ole Lake Farm - Heritage whole wheat flour & rye flour grown with only organic inputs on a farm that practices soil health management. Goat's milk soap and lotion with no artificial ingredients. Available in reusable glass jars. 

Pine River Seed Library* - Information about the seed library & how it works, as well as tips for seed saving. Membership forms, seed forms for borrowing seeds, & seeds to borrow will be available!

Pine River Watershed Alliance* - This nonprofit will provide information & opportunities to provide water quality restoration & protection, both above & below ground. They will have a model of the watershed to discuss. 

Plant Magick** - Handmade herbal wellness products in eco-friendly packaging, including: elderberry syrup, sore throat elixir, fire syrup, dry shampoo, facial scrubs, bath salts, chapstick, lip tints, deodorant, artisanal soaps, herbal salves, herbal loose leaf teas, & sanitizing sprays. All ingredients are organic or ethically wildcrafted and products contain no harmful chemicals or preservatives. 

Ready-2-Fruit Mushrooms LLC* - Mushroom kits and cultivation supplies. 

RetroGreen Energy - A retrofit insulation company with information about an environmentally friendly insulation product that will last longer than conventional methods of insulation and help reduce your energy bills!

Rural Renewable Energy Alliance (RREAL)* - A nonprofit dedicated to making solar energy accessible to all people. They will provide information on services related to solar energy, energy poverty, and residential solar installations. 

Signature Blacksmithing, LLC - Hand-forged items including garden tools, home & yard fixtures, fireplace tools, cooking utensils, and hardware. Some items made from repurposed steel. 

theHERBAL Cache* - Homemade wild-crafted herbal products that include tinctures/liquid extracts, ointments, balms, roll-ons, inhalers, kombucha starter kits, DIY elderberry syrup kits, etc. 

Thermography of Minnesota - Breast thermography is an imaging method that uses sophisticated infrared cameras and computer systems to detect the heat given off the surface of the skin. This heat is processed into a high-resolution image that may be analyzed for some of the earliest risk markers for breast cancer.

U-Roast-Em* - Specialty Grade Arabica Green and Fresh Roasted coffee beans, sourced from small woman-owned and family-owned farms, many of which are Rainforest Alliance, Organic, or Fair Trade certified. They also sell several stove-top and automated counter-top electric home roasters. 

Whakima Herbals, LLC- Promoting natural healing and nontoxic living through homemade herbal-based first aid, wellness, and self-care products.
