Creamed Potatoes and Vegetables
New potatoes, quartered with skins on
Carrots, peeled and chopped
Green beans, snapped
1/2 stick butter
Bring potatoes and carrots to a boil. When still firm, add green beans and peas. Cook until done, but slightly firm. Strain water off and add milk just under the top of vegetables. Salt and pepper to taste, then add 1/2 stick of butter. Bring to a boil and thicken with water.
